Bambi is, trully, my all time favorite Disney character.
Allot of people assume that Simba is my favorite. But naw, hes up there though. Way up there, almost side by side with this endearing.....deer. xD <33
Bambi is what inspired me to draw, and actually get serious about drawing. I remember, quite fondly, that when I was little I went to my grandmothers and watched bambi on VHS for the very first time. Back then I had no idea what deer were!! I was amazed! And at the very end of that movie, they had a special showing Disney and his peers working on the movie, from the backgrounds, to the animation. I was so inspired and excited by what I saw I pulled out a pencil and paper and tried drawing with them. XD I would keep rewinding to try and get my pictures to look really good! xD
Now I still get inspired when I watch that movie. Its just positively heartwarming. I honestly miss all the disney magic put in Walts old movies...the kind of movies that MADE artists! But Princess and the Frog has given me hope. Oh how I miss the good old days. <333

:) It's not that bad. People who watched it as kids grew up eventually. And sometimes, they just forget it entirely, sometimes they love it dearly like you do. And sometimes they love just as much but also carry them into their adult life. I think that most people would say it's sick to draw Simba and Nala doing anything more together than snuggling. I find that a little sad. When someone gets all squirmy over adult art, it makes me wonder what the real reason is. I personally think there's nothing wrong with adult art at all. Of any kind. It's just pictures, nothing more or less. Bambi isn't just a bunch of pictures though. There's so much feeling and emotion in this movie that cannot put in just a single image, regardless of it's rating. I believe it's against some of my most natural and prime urges not to have any sort of fantasies or an adult life though, and it will naturally encompass everything and anything that I love in life. This may include the silliest or strangest fantasies. It's in the head, it's in the heart, it cannot exist in real life, might as well just shrug it off when you see such art. :) Fans who draw these kinds of things aren't "lesser fans" in any way, I'm sure. They just don't put a safety net and barrier between what they love and enjoy in order to preserve it's purity.

There is nothing wrong with the innocence in the good old past original. Bambi will always be innocent as can be, regardless of how many adult art they is. Don't let any of that ruin it for you.

:) Alright, I just wish I could show you that this isn't meant to corrupt them (well I can only speak for myself, but I'm pretty convinced that this is the least people want out of this kind of art). Many stay true to what they love about it entirely. They just ... fill in the blanks. Like I would with Nala and Simba. And that's nothing distateful, or sinful, it's an extension of the love portrayed in the original story. :) Some other kinks and art may stray from that, but it's not supposed to be canon anyway. :)

But I do think that I had the same edition of VHS that you had! I remember watching how they painted the frames on clear acetate and used those over the backgrounds! 8D

You did art of Bambi. You have fantastic coloring, shading, and a good grasp of the anatomy. The proportions are all correct, and he's flat out adorable. AND THERE ARE NO PORNZ TO BE FOUND HERE.
