This image is an example of my traditional work, when i do put my work into it for anyone. This is done in a #2 pencil ONLY, on standard Copy paper.
The information is on the picture, but I'll add and reiterate some things here.
Firstly COPIES of this image will be sold. PM me if you want one. They go for $25 each, and will be printed in Black and White on 8.5x11 inch Card Stock. there will be a small border, About average for any paper printed from a computer. No other sizes are allowed, as this is NOT a commission.
Commissioned work will not be like this. The size is up to you, and you get the original. If at any time I sell the original, I will make it known.
This is also the quality of my pencil art for commissions.

Read my journal. Next time, don't be a smart ass. Thank you. If you do not like my art, unwatch me, or block me. I need money. I will then be taking commissions and selling art that I CAN do. I will post in what art accounts I have. Until FA bans all non-furry art, you will see this art from me. I am sorry I don't draw porn or nudes like everyone else does on FA. I actually DID draw one yiffy image. not scanned, but one.
Looks good, but $25 might be a bit more then most will choose to pay for a print, even if you feel that effort you put in makes it worth it.
Unfortunatly, art-for-sale is dependent on the buyer, not the seller. So a 15min sketch of a nude female will often sell faster and for more then a three-day long supra-detailed peice of a forest.
Such is the art world.
At least you appreciate the effort you put into it.

Well I talked over with several people. 25 was deemed good. if, after talking to several others it's believed that 25 is much, i will drop it to 20 dollars.. I am unsure if it's considered a print tho. In the end, I will be selling the original at some point, and it WILL be sold higher, because it's the original.
As the artist and the seller, it's up to you to decide what it's worth, but it's the buyers who will determin what it will actually sell for.
As I mentioned above, it's a sad situation that pictures in which we poor our artistic souls are ignored for lesser pics which fit someone's fancy.
Best of luck to you.

Just cruising by, but I'm willing to bet that if those 4 people had the money in their hands right now, they'd commission someone like Dragoneer or some such famous artist.
My advice would be to go away for a while, work on your art more, maybe take lessons, and practice, practice practice. Then come back, and lower your prices by about half - then watch business pick up.
Good luck matey :)

Thinking back, I hanged the price to match my commissioned sketches - 5 dollars. ONLY cause it's the same thing.
WARNING: TL;DR CRAP. Skip to the bottom for the point! XD
Returning about improving art, all of my art needs improving, no matter how little. I have several people stating that they'd commission me. HOWEVER, some people brought up a good point - What kind of site is this geared for primarily? Furry. What kind of furry specifically? Porn. Lots of it. So we have porn, which sells almost easily... And we have furry art, that also sells very easily on this site. Combine it, or at least something furry alone, and even people worse than me (sometimes) might be rolling in dough. But a wittle ol' landscape/scenery/background artist comes around, and the best he'd probably get is one commission in a blue moon, and get a few "ooh's" and "ah's". I bet if the designs were to be furry orientated my chances of commission would ride up from about 5%, all the way to 15%. Add characters that are both human and/or furry, and it skyrockets to a nice 30% probably.. Make myself known in many places and advertise? Perhaps 35-40% Practice to a half decent amount? Perhaps tack on another 2-5%. Practice to a very decent level? Add yet another 5%. We'd be at a bout 40-50% by now. Start taking mature art, for tasteful nudity, nothing soft or hardcore, I'd probably skyrocket to a 60-75% chance of a commission. Take any kind of art, from all ages to adult? Make that an 80-90% chance. Include the near endless list of fetishes? Make that 95-98%. And that is that. The 2-5% not listed is cause there are always gonna be people that won't commission you no matter how good for some reason or another.
The point is, is that my art, even though it is liked by a few, isn't the main genre here. Now If I achieve a level of awesomeness that I can overcome the preferred genre here, I might not have to worry.
Besides I might start taking commissions involving characters soon. I just realized that since most of my images are done as a doodle because of boredom (i.e. no effort), I seem to have lost some touch in anatomy. But by using references and concentrating on the art, and having a good reason to make it, I can do better than I thought. I seem to be better at anatomy than my art shows lol... But yeah. I am taking a break from FA for reasons other than this. So blah. I guess I'll just stop talking now, cause I could go on forever, going into more and more detail.. Argh... I hate this habit of mine lol... XD

I think what you should aim to do is just get your skill levels up to the point that, even if its not your main genre, you can draw furry art. I don't draw furry art all the time; I actually draw just about everything else other than furry, but I can if I choose to. I've only had one person actually ask me about commissions so far, and that was over on Yiffstar (scary, scary place =p) but I'm still going to wait for a while and improve a bit more first.
As for your boredom doodles, you should still be able to draw something really quickly, and apply whatever knowledge of anatomy to it that you have. You might just have to work into it a bit more, and by that point you'll have started making it into something worthwhile.
