MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL AND MANY HAPPY RETURNS!
Yes after a 4 month absence I'm finally back drawing pictures and what a way to start than celebrating the nest time of year! This years theme would be based on an Irish chat show on RTE called 'The Late Late show'. Every year around christmas they do a special show called 'The Late Late Toy show' where the host would showcase all the wonderful toys for all the good little boys and girls and it's always great fun to watch! It made Christmas extra special and I will always treasure when Gay Burne, the longest running host of the show (spanning 30 years) hosted it as he was the best!
Now it's time to introduce the stars of this picture.
On the top left corner is Ray Darcy along with his co stars 'Zig and Zag'. They where part of the longest running kids series on Irish Television! It had cartoons, kids shows, music, drawing, guest and a whole lotta fun!
It started as 'Dempeys Den' in 1986 hosted by 'Ian Dempsey' who was an excellent host. He was joined by the 2 aliens from the planet Zog 'Zig and Zag' in 1987.
Ian Dempsey was replaced by 'Ray Darcy' in 1990 (same time Mary Robinson was elected president of Ireland. That's right America, we had not one but 2 female presidents). Also around that time Dustin the Turkey (seen on the far right in between Steve Kruger and Gurume Gattsu) came around and kinda like Donkey in Shrek, he really stole the show.
Zig and Zag where bought out by the english ut the show was still great. Ray Darcy left in 1998 to be a radio presenter on 2FM (the same as Ian Dempsey).
The show had other presenters and even changed it's name to 'Den 2' for a short while before going back to it's original name 'The Den'. Sadly the show was finally cancelled in 2010 and now it's just 'RTEjnr'. I'm just happy I was a kid to live those days.
Next to them is a memorial to 'Micheal Dogson' (created by
wolfjedisamuel )done in the model of the statue on 'Micheal Jackson's History' album.
Below them is Repunzel, Flynn and Maximums from Disney's 'Tangled'.
Below them is Po from 'Kung Fu Panda' bouncing Snowy from 'Tin Tin' on his tummy. I know I exaggerated a little but his face is so cute so how could I resist!
Next to them on the right is
UrbanPup looking as cute as ever along side Santa (yes I finally added him to the pic) as well as my Fursona and Gay Byrne who was the 1st host of the 'Late Late show'.
Near Gay Byrne is Raygirl13 who is a close friend of mine online and
FurryLovePup who helped me make 'Les Kangoo' recognised.
On the right is my original character 'Steve Krugger' along side
NightCrestComics Gurume Gattsu would have gotten really comfortable with Den TV legend Dustin. BTW Dustin was entered in the 2008 Euro contest and that was a dark day for Irish history. The 1st none human entire in history and it was a bomb!
About those big bad wolves is Nessie from 'Disneys Balled of Nessie' which was a short for the new 'Whinnie the Pooh' film this year. On her left is Tin Tin and her right is Captain Haddock.
Above them is 'The Nostalgia Critic and Nostalgia Chick' who made my life really pleasant this year where there hilarious and informative videos. I'm sure you can agree.
Swinging near the logo of the show is Puss n Boots who stars in his own film this year (I still gotta see that) which brings us to the 'Late Late Toy show' with the Barn owl that represents it.
PHEW! That was a mouthful!
I felt I wouldn't be able to do this but my love for Christmas prevailed and I hope this brings some cheer to your holiday. No matter who you are, you'll always have someone who cares!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I KNOW I'M SO BAD!!! I didn't include the characters thta kept the show going like 'Snotser, Poadge, Roadge and even Bosco'. I fell so bad! Sorry about that! I would of put in Ian Dempsy but I'm a little shaky drawing cartoon humans. Anyway the main thing is that the Den is in it and hopefully people will recognise them for the wonderful kids show it was. P.S I was thinking of putting in Padgo the rat.
Eeep, I am extremely late in seeing this! If my laptop wasn't missing, I would've seen it much sooner!
I LOVE all of your special Christmas drawings :) I can clearly tell you put so much time, work, effort and lots of love into each one. This one is no exception!
I am grateful that you included my character in each one! She looks so cute and Po, besides her, looks so huggable. Especially his belly! <3 And I like how you're coming right out of the present in the front. So fun : D
Thank you, thank for such a sweet drawing! I will definitely need to make something special for you, for being such a good friend all these years towards me.
