Thank you. There will be more Ivy(first time I tried it and it is kind of fun)and ruins in the BG. I'll consider the fountain. I'm working on my shading and shadows,trying new things like on most of my pics.

The things I suggested you fix look much better now. The tail is a tail and not a leg now, the hands clearly are one forward and one back. I LOVE the ivy so far! Yes, get some good bird books, I would say look at Swan or Eagle wings for this!

I get blind to whats happening in a pic pretty fast and it takes someone to point out the obvious sometimes. If I don't look at a pic for a week or two I will usually pick up on a lot of mistakes but I usually can't wait that long. The mirror trick probably would have helped. I need to get in the habit of using it again.

I hadn't decided what would be the colors on my pallet for the BG till night before last. I thought blues greens and browns finally. Then the ruins and ivy came to me.

I grew up with ivy around my house and always thought it was neat.

I know that fresh eyes always help. I tend to drag my art all over the house so I see it with different lighting and room background and colors etc. Seeing it at different distances helps to! Glad to help any time I can.
