This is an ogre in full armor, along with a favored weapon, which is an one-handed axe about half as tall as a man. (that sketchy thingy over on the left hand side is a standard human for comparison). Ogres are skilled metal workers, and can produce some surprisingly intricate arms and armor, dispite their clumsy appearance. Ogrers mine for ores in the hills where they live, prefering strip-mining to tunneling. They use slaves for any required tunneling, since ogres tend to be claustrophobic. Plus they're really big, so one would have to move a lot of dirt to make a tunnel big enough for one.

Yes, the armor was fun. I had an image in my head of an ogre in full armor, and I decided I had to get it down on paper. Incedentaly, the original drawing had an ogre with half of him wearing armor, and the other half without. To make this picture and the unarmored one, I just cut and pasted the side I needed, so if anyone's wondering why they look so symetrical, that's why.
Well, I suppose I could stand to come up with some armor for the other characters I'm inventing for my story idea that this guy goes along with. I used to really like full plate, but more lately I've come to realize how much cooler various sorts of leather or leather-supported armors are.
You should do that! Give them different styles and see which you like better, or something. Don't think the jungle orcs really need much, though, unless they like, steal parts of armor that fit appropriately from adventurers... I could see a mishmash armor set on some lackey who can't get real armor. :P
