Hrímgrímnir, The Imprisoned Lord, is a Jotun from my character universe.
During the Lunar Imprisonment, when the Jötnar were imprisoned within the moon to await their eventual release when civilization got out of control, each Jotun was sealed within pillars of crystal. Hrímgrímnir was the one who did not manage to fully escape, and instead merged with the crystals to form a monstrous conglomerate of flesh and minerals.
He now resides in the deepest reaches of the moon, patiently awaiting the Acta Est Fabula, whereupon he will crash the moon into the Earth.
