This was something I kind of started before November. First off, Dwarves are fucking awesome. I'm a big fan of them in fantasy, and had the pleasure to meet a lot of really good dwarf RPers in Neverwinter Nights.
The most powerful one of them all was Snellopy. I haven't done some fan art for him in years, and felt it was time I try to do something for him. I love knight stuff, and beards are awesome. This is just the WIP, which Ill get back around to one day here soonish, but to show it off now.

I like where it's going. It really has potential. Make that helmet have some pop, viking horns or something wicked.
You really got his facial proportions correct. Eyes, nose, and mouth are all well placed.
The only thing i'd really change is the braids on his beard, they look kinda flat in terms of dimensions.

Currently there's a very dwarvenish 'wings' to it if you can see with the lines to his helmet. I wanted to try and stay away from horns in particular and go for the full forged dwarven steel look. A previous drawing I had of him had Viking horns, but I felt the 'wings' kind of covered the same sort of general feel to it.
I totally agree with the beard, and from a front angle I usually have trouble creating a 3d shape... well 3d shape at any angle with just line art. Usually I try to pop it out with shading, and higlights later one.
Thank you very much as well for the comment. I do appreciate critique.

You are off to a great start with this mate. The shoulder guards on the armour look nice and solid, yet stylish too.
I am sure the beard and braids will inflate nicely with the shading, I like the texture effects you have on it.
The eyes looknicely determined, and I love what you've got in mind for the helmet. I better stop for now, my kids are going berserk - nothing like a Chinese speaking test to wind them up on the last day of school. I think it's video time now
