A bit of dreamy/longing music for everyone's holiday evenings.
After the chimes the "cello" melody is the counter theme - the later melody in high strings is the main melody - that came to me around 18 years ago, an actual lullaby for my babies...
This version with the variations etc is prolly too busy to be a functional lullabye, something to relax with near bed time....i'll re-set it eventually as a dreamy hypnotic piece....
But this version has a sort of late night winter holiday feel...
New (or old) art around the weekend or so...

hi, sorry for late reply - been busy then FA was down last night -
A classical guitar or keyboard is my composing instrument of choice, although during the last eight years or so i've also been writing on the comp using midi "piano roll" display. i learned "piano roll" chart analysis way back around 1976 or so...i took some test or other to skip the last couple years of high school so as to get on with university, but the university had an age limit, so i did a year of adult night school where i studied classical guitar, piano, composition/harmony/theory,...and stained glass....go figure...
i have a huge backlog of analog recordings, but i don't have the hardware interface to put them into the comp at this point, so what i have been posting are pieces composed or arranged in midi on the comp - then mixed to .wav files, then reduced to .mp3.
The software is this:
Frieve Music Studio Producer
http://www.frieve.com/english/
A wonderful full studio production software - the author of the software is Japanese, and there is nearly no english support...
It's an amazingly good software - and free - but a clueless labyrinth for a non-nihongo....one manges to find one's way around...
Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Audacity is the prime open source audio software. i use it to edit, normalize volume, etc - to record improvs...
Super
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
Super is a free software, useful for converting file formats - i use it for converting files to mp3 - it lets you choose compression rates so that a file will be small enough without sounding like crap. There was a good deal of tweeking with Super to get the mp3 of Lulabye down to this file size.
