So this is a gift picture for rustedmetal. It's her awesome dragon/raptor hybrid character, Lithium. I told her that I would draw Lithium a long, long time ago but I didn't have time to finish her until now.

I normally don't do gifts for people, but I decided to do this one because:
1) Lithium is a kick-ass character, 4srs.
2) I really wasn't happy with my half of our trade.
3)She's drawn for me lots of time. I felt bad not giving her anything in return. :C

This picture took way longer than what I had originally counted on but I learned a lot while working on it. The most important thing I tried to do was make a clear focal point using colors and details. I guess it worked out pretty well. I have to experiment more with warm/cool colors. XD

I used a texture from Adobe for the base of the background (though I added most of the texture using special brushes). I also used this animation http://aboveclouds.deviantart.com/f.....ites/#/d2lavy2 for raptor reference while sketching.
