It's starting to actually look like something! =3
Technical details:
I got the brow piece glued down, the cheeks cut out and pinned in place, and the snout block carved. The cheeks have been heat shaped in the lower picture, but haven't been glued on yet- hence the giant nails holding them on. I need to do some trimming where the cheek meets the snout, too. I left the cheek piece a bit long on the bottom. Also, I noticed an overbite when I pinned the snout on, so I'm making a longer lower jaw. I'm not going to finish it until the upper snout is finished, though. I want to be sure to get the hinge placement right this time.
I'm amused at the lower picture without the snout. It looks like a viking helmet or something. X3
Critiques are very welcome at this stage, as it's still at a point where mistakes should be fixable.
Next up, gluing these pieces together, then building up the cheeks and brow.
