I had to wait on the hardware to arrive, as well as the lining piece of leather.
The package cam in today and I jumped right in to the work. I cut the strap of latigo. and a strip of suede, for the lining. [the lining is too wide on purpose to make sure of full coverage]
I am now waiting for the cement to cure before proceeding.
Next I'll be double stitching the edges[ hand cramping work. I need my horse]
