Well, once it gets to that perfect age where it has a good amount of mass but still retains it's youthful tenderness, then you make proper use of it.

What the hell are you talking about? Proper use of it? If you're talking about killing it for fur, you're sick. That's not proper use, that's just useless killing and animal cruelty.

Eating Lion? I do believe that might be illegal.. Anywhere.. and if he's keeping these animals as pets, he's got the money to care for them, and there for doesn't have any need to kill his PETS to eat.

I'm not suggesting that anyone needs to kill their "pets" to eat. Just that a Lion would be something interesting to raise for the purpose of a nice meal later on. Besides, such an animal would eventually have a rather high upkeep, both monetarily and physically demanding.

For how long will you keep him?

I ask since i knew 1 person in slovakia who raised a lion up till 2 years - that gets VERY expensive without any support.
