#4302 is a CAT GenerationII prime mover rebuild done in fall of 1990.
It started life as UP #805 a GP30, SN #27514, Frame #5643-6 erected 7/1962, being rebuilt by the UP in 1981. It stayed with the UP but didn't remain active for long and was stored until it was sold to National Railway Equipment in 1988 along with #702, #706, #711, #730, #732, #828, and #832.
It seems the SOO didn't care for these rebuilds and it didn't stay very active with the SOO, it even appears it was stored for an amount of that time before being sold to GenerationII in 4/1999.
SOO cared so little for this rebuild that the other 5 former UP units in line for the same rebuild were stored at Shoreham and found their way back to National Railway Equipment in 1992.
#4302 did, however, find a home with the TCW which DOES like these Caterpillar rebuilds and was last seen in Saint Joseph, MN on 6/16/2021.
