Following CG Tuts I was able to make this in under 3 hours. Rendered through Mental Ray, I'm proud of myself... I defo wanna go down this route from now on and put pencil work on hold.

Watch your edge quality, and try an extra light or two. It also doesn't hurt to throw in a backdrop. Proportions look good, matches USB closely, though the plastic spacer in there is often a solid rectangle, looks like you might have a space. If you wanted to up detail from this I would suggest a material shader for the plastic housing, and a Mia X shader to really bring out the reflective quality of the metal. Other than that, it's pretty good, the shadows are clean for what lighting you have, and you did manage some edge quality.
Thanks Fermi! I'll definitely have a look into that, but I did use Mia X shaders. Got the tutorial here: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/au.....al-ray-part-1/ the day 2 bit covers lighting and stuff. >.=.o
