Okay, I bitched about this picture last night, but it did come out good. and I could see Discord trying to convince Celestia and Luna to run away from home and join the circus at a young age as part of an evil plot to spread Chaos, Now that I've had time to think about it. It might even be the point where Luna started to turn evil.

Really? I just saw it as a cute runaway some kids go through when they're young. Not sure why its cute, but the kids decide running away to the circus would be fun only to stop at the end of the street ten minutes later.

I don't know, its kind of a clever mixture of cute and realism.

Right. Well my gripe with it was that I really hate it when people feel the need to show villains as awesome as Discord as young and innocent. Some villains work without a traumatic back story to explain why they do what they do. The Grinch didn't need one Darth Vader didn't need one, Scar from the lion king didn't need one, and Discord definitely doesn't need one, he is the embodiment of chaos. Sometimes villains are best when they are doing evil for the sake of doing evil.

Ah, I see where you're coming from. You seem to prefer the "they're evil because their evil" approach. Which is understandable, but I personally like the fannon back story everyone is putting behind this group. I look at the comic Discordantly for Discord's journey into the chaotic mad god he became and people love. That's why this picture fits so beautifully in the story.

Celestia and Discord could have been childhood friends who had adventures and an inseparable friendship. As they grew up they slowly drifted apart and Discord developed a crush on Celestia. The Discordantly comic goes into good detail about that lover turned monster kind of situation.

So according to that story, this picture makes sense.

I dunno man, sounds to me like you just need a chill pill and realize you're taking a 'stand' for 'villains' that really don't exist and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Of course you're more then entitled to your opinion, but it just sounds like to me you're really freaking over nothing. I mean... come on, MLP? It's a childrens show bro, it's ok.
