Yes the lil Liger has come up with yet another what if scenario for the history of Earth. Behold the species it produced. Like usual with new species I'll give you guys info on the species and then get specific about the character himself.

The Ranock are a sapient species of Rodent having arose in Central America. Their species spread across the north and south American continents. For much of their history they were divided into multiple city states that bickered but around the year 554 BC many of the city states began unifying until there were only three Large nations spread over the two continents. Meanwhile in Europe Human history played out much the same as we know it today. When the nations of Europe finally began colonial expansion is when they made first official contact with the Ranock. At the time the Ranock as a whole were at an advanced Roman level of technology building large stone cities, making use of sophisticated clockwork technologies. Beginning to experiment with electricity and a naval force active up and down the coast of the Americas. They had developed gun powder which was primarily used in explosives and in cannons, Cross bows served the functions of guns still. The Ranock sent an Emissary back to Europe aboard a human ship to open official communication channels. The reception did not go well. It is said that the king the Emissary stood before took a look at him, spoke with the Bishop at his side and promptly declared the Ranock to be demon spawn to be purged from the earth. The Emissary was burnt at the steak. War began not long later with most of Europe at least loosely allied in their faith that the Ranock were demons. The War Lasted just over a century during which time the Ranock unified as a species under one nation. During the War they quickly developed from captured vessels their own long range ships and guns. Upon learning of the sheer number of humans and their disarray the Ranock made alliances with the various nations of Africa. It was not long after this that faced with an enemy deeply entrenched and fortified in it's own lands as well as allies within spitting distance pushing as well that the War eventually came to a close.

Ranock today make up 70% of the population of the Americas with the rest being comprised of humans allowed to immigrate. Relations with nations of Africa remain as strong as they were during the war and old wounds with Europe are healing over with the Church having made a formal apology and adapting it's interpretations. This proved more difficult for the Monotheistic human faiths than it did for the Polytheistic faiths of the Rannock who simply incorporated these gods as long lost members of their own pantheons. Today the Total world wide Population Human and Rannock numbers 3.4 Billion and is holding stable at this number. Technological advancements have accumulated much more rapidly with numerous space stations in orbit of Earth many of which recieve tourist. The Moon has now had several installations for 3 years and a manned mission of Human Ranock to mars is slated to launch before long. On an ecological front where mega fauna in Europe had gone extinct many of them persist in the Americas such as Mammoth and wooly Rhino. Terror Birdds are still around as well with a specialized domesticated version having been bred for use as a steed.

Akenra Here is a young Rannock fresh from the Institute of sciences. He specializes in genetics and biology in general with a strong interest in Paleontology. Currently employed as an assistant researcher Akenra is quite excited about the up coming Mars Mission and hopes he'll get in on studying any potential evidence for life brought back. He's relatively confident, kind and outgoing. Unafraid to voice his opinion on almost anything. That said he still gets a bit quite and a little blushy when the subject of his continence is brought up. Akenra suffers from a neurological disorder which a century ago likely would have killed him. His nervous system wouldn't have been able to coordinate accurately and would be overwhelmed by sensory input coming. Thanks to an implant though he leads a relatively normal life with only minor side effects such as the incontinence and minor head aches now and then. Over time Akenra has come to accept his incontinence as just part of his life and has found ways to even enjoy it as well.
