so do you give them like small pieces of chicken breast or you just hope their are enough flies for all the plants?

Chicken, beef... any kind of animal meat is not suitable for feeding carnivorous plants. Contains too much fat and the type of protein in meat is often not digestible by carnivorous plants. You would simply allow them to catch their own food or supplement them with orchid folliar fertilizer. Ultimately though, they don't need to be feed insects to grow but it's better when you do.

Pitcher plants, huh? The only carnivorous plants I've ever seen or handled are the small Venus Fly Traps in my high school's greenhouse. You could even make them close up by sticking a card near the hairs, to test them out!

Yeah, we don't advocate triggering the traps without feeding them because metabolically, this is very expensive for the plant. It's alright if you feed it a small insect and then trigger the traps.

Not all of the pictures were taken all at once, mind you. Maybe over the course of a year. If all my nepenthes put up glorious pitchers at the same time, my head would explode from amazement.
