Maybe... but following that logic, all Celestia would get should be cinders, rather than an intact letter with a wax seal. I'm just assuming it's the same principle at work with the snow. In other words: "It's magic. I don't gotta explain shit."

Well the scrolls are probably designed as such, seeing as Spike torched the pages of Twilight's Astronomy book without sending them to Celestia. Since scrolls are used for mail, they were most likely made to be sent however they needed to be sent, such as dragon-flame :P

Yes! Awesome idea! Although, I can't help but think this would be a Pinkie Pie letter considering the way Twilight flips her shit when she thinks the princess is going to be upset with her.
