Woah, nice! Handsome looking lion, excellent anatomical reference photo. Good view of the hind paw pads, and the claw sheath locations. You must have had a clear shot. (I photographed some lions in October, and had to choose between shooting through smeary dirty glass (or plastic), or cage wires.)

The Brookfield zoo uses moats for their lion and tiger exhibits, with no annoying glass/cages/fences to shoot through.
