One of the few good rock bands still out there needs to be shown respect, and here I give it a try by covering "Ugly" from Cold's 1997 album... "Cold". Hoorizah for self-titled silliness.
I've always loved this song and it's pretty easy to play, it's just the timing on it is tricky. For anyone who actually knows the song, you'll notice I changed the chords for the "Why can't you see/hurt/feel/die" part. I think Scooter or Kelly used a G/F# thing, but I use G/C/G/Am/D because I feel it worked a lot better with the vocal melody.

And another note to Cold fans, I'm also thinking about covering "Bleed", "No One", "End of the World" and "Wasted Years".

Did you record guitar and vocals at the same time?
I can't help but feel you're holding back on your vocals. It was a bit pitchy, but that isn't to big a deal with practice. I think the main thing is, you just sound like you're too reserved in your vocal ability. I dunno, maybe I'm not explaining this well. I'm trying to be constructive and I think I'm not doing a good job of it.
Overall, i rather enjoyed it.
I appreciate your criticism, though. I suppose I should practice, but I'm just not sure what things I need to do other than just ... well, singing a lot.

Hmm, I didn't know they broke up. Last I heard they were just on "hiatus", but if they are officially dissolved it doesn't surprise me. At least they never put out a 'bad' album like most bands tend to do.

Yeah, they broke up back in March, not long after they came back from the hiatus. can't remeber quite why though. Scooter Ward (vocals) wen't on to do his own project now.
