First time I have seen a photo of one of these from the 1990s. Hope someone restores it someday, the NP North Coast Limited paint scheme is one of my all time favorites.

NP #598 was moved in 1999 down to the Jackson Street roundhouse (MTM).

that was a pretty color scheme. looks like some kind of "pullman". just as a guess, they might have been using it as some sort of dormatory for crew layovers or something like that.
