I actually based Venus on Pinkie Pie. I drew the first sketches of her shortly after I started watching season one when the series was still fairly new.
I've been meaning to redesign her a bit actually because I thought she ended up looking like a pony version of princess Peach... definitely not what I intended!
I will redesign her cutie mark, the one she has is just a simple temporary one until I've some up with a proper one.
