It suddenly dawned on me. Hyenas and chocolate chip cookies are remarkably alike. Thus, I drew a Cookyena.
The Chocolate Chip Cookyena, being a ‘common’ creature, is often overlooked. The focus of researchers often lands instead on the more flamboyant fudge-striped creatures, or, on the incredible diversity of the Oreo.
Research that has been done however, suggests that the Chocolate Chip Cookyena is a social animal, often living in packages ranging from six, to over four dozen members, depending on brand and store. It is nearly impossible to tell male and female Cookyeenas apart, due to the high sugar levels in both genders. Their young, called Crumbs, are easily distinguished, however, due to their small size, and the fact that they are often dark, since the chips tend to fall off on their own accord.
Unfortunately, while not endangered, entire packages of Chocolate Chip Cookyenas fall victim to the much larger predators that stalk stores and vending machines.
