Here's a side view of him to show that cute dorsal fin!
At long last, he is FINISHED! So happy! *happy dance*
My first commissioner requested that I make his sona into plushie form similar to the german shepherd and Majin plushies that I've made. The design for the character had a few challenges, the head and muzzle shape were difficult since they were rather round-ish given that he's half orca. I tried to keep those big cute eyes without making him look weird and overly chibi-fied.
Binx's paws have more then ten pieces each, features hand painted plastic eyes, dorsal fin, custom fluke, and a blue lower lip as instructed. The photos don't show it, but his blue lip is there I assure you Binx. I just couldn't get a photo of it without it looking weird with me holding his chin up. His head sits up better then Majin's ever did, so I think I've finally gotten the pattern altered properly. His dorsal fin, and his ears have foamie inserts to help them stand upright rather then flop over. So if it didn't have the insert, his dorsal fin would be all Shamoo and just flop over to one side. XD His ears stand up adorably! Love him!
I nearly forgot his blue hair-poof...and had forgoten it until AFTER my sister helped in holding up the backdrop while i took photos. I looked at the reference sheet I'd printed and many profanities insued from me given the fact that I'd forgotten when it was sitting right in front of me. *head-desk* So I had to go back in, and attach that hair poof!
Got to test out my new clippers on this guy, too! I LOVE MY NEW CLIPPERS they did a beautiful job on this guy!
Almost sad to see him go. He'll be off over seas to Germany once the tail that he ordered with it is ready to ship too! All in one box!
Oh! And he's more then 52" from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail!
