That is very cool. If I ever went there I think I would cry. Most of those guys were only 19-20 yrs old. War sucks.

I love how people make a big deal about the WTC attacks when the Pearl Harbor raid had a much bigger influence on the US and still lots of people don't know what day it was on.

People would rather forget than remember these days. Sadly we have also graduated an entire generation that just does not care about their own history even enough to "google it." Some nations are still recovering from this conflict. Some are even still recovering from tue First World War.

yeah its sad that alot of people dont remember pearl harbor, i know when i went to school they barely mentioned it.

It was never mentioned when i went to school and i graduated highschool in 2007. Whats worse is i tried to get them to teach it but was turned down

My Grandparents' First wedding anniversary was Dec 7 1941. It's a hard date for me to forget, let alone forget what happened at Pearl Harbor.

I guess growing up across the bay from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and playing on old barrage balloon anchors helped also
