Knockout
Sassy nature. Knockout is the result of a halted evolution. His former owner wanted an all powerful Charizard without taking the effort to patiently train the pokemon. Being forced to evolve into an adult stage at a lower level, Knockout’s body was unable to handle the strain of evolution, and the pain of the transformation caused it to stop abruptly. This gave him the horns of a Charizard, while still retaining the crest of his Charmeleon self. On his back, there are slight protrusions of bone where wings should be growing. Likewise, his coloration is off—the white patches are were the orange scales started growing in, but did not continue. He is taller and heavier built then regular Charmeleons, and his legs are strong enough to leap high in the air (usually for takeoff). Due to his freakish appearance, his trainer found him monstrous, and the vain lizard took off into the caves of Whirl Islands. Hiding there, he lived by stealing food from terrified travelers lost in the dark. His eyes adapted by taking on an eerie red glow.
After joining the team, he wears a neck collar attached to a pair of tires for strength training. he also wears 2 at his feet.
Breakdown
Timid Nature. Breakdown is the result of an odd breeding defect. His is the product of a male charizard that has bred with a female blastoise, and for some reason has inherited an orange face. As a newly hatched squirtle, the facial marking was an off-color patch of yellow. His breeders thought that he would grow out of it, and tended to the hatchlings as normal. As he became a little older, however, the patch became a brighter color, and to make matters worse, his eyes began to glow a rich gold. Fearing it would ruin their reputation, the breeders abandoned the little pokemon in a nearby city. Alone, Breakdown was open for attacks on his peculiar appearance, anything from verbal taunting to full out physical battles from the city pokemon. Rescued after a month of endless torture, breakdown begins to hide his appearance when his new trainer gives him facial makeup. It is not until KO joins the team later that he removes the facepaint entirely.
