well, 20 - 22 is the lower end of what they can get according to everything we've red, and that is what the average was that its previous owner and the dealership reported. Either way though, its still safer than a car, and we don't do THAT much driving, so safety > mpg is what matters to me. After our crash, our car was like a squished soda can and with a baby on the way we decided to go for something a bit more durable.

dont BMW's tend to kinda fall apart though? lol Granted, I've only experianced a couple that were owned by friends, but it seemed like they were ALWAYS needing work done on them.

Turn of the century Mercedes and Audis build before 2008ish do, but BMWs have always been rock solid. You just can't let them go 10k miles without an oil change like a Toyota or something. They're even more reliable than Volkswagens.

So far ours dosnt really seem to bad on gas....but than we live close to portland, so you get everywhare by freeway/highway lol

Yeah, it dosn't get the BEST gas milage, but its pretty good ^.^ So I'm pleased with it.
