But I'm just like you…
I can think about things.
I have feelings…
You sure know how to hurt them!
I'm a lot like you!
I have a fertile mind.
I can react and reason.
I'm a detective; I'm good at what I do.
I'm a lot like you!
You can tickle my paws,
and I'll laugh at you!
I feel pain and I bleed, too.
I'm a lot like you!
Don't say I'm a monster,
just because I'm different.
I wasn't trying to deceive you,
Let me have my clothes back!
I'm a lot like you!
Please, let me get dressed, again.
I just want to be your friend!
I'm a lot like you!
You say that I look weird to you.
I'll have you know, you look strange, too!
But I'm so much like you!

Working with animal characters is an interesting exercise. It’s two fold all the way. On one hand, Brandon is covered in fur. You can see that he has a big snout with pointed fangs. He has long ears and a bushy tail! He’s got paws instead of feet! Brandon is not like you; Brandon is a wolf!
On the other hand, doesn’t he look embarrassed, there, standing in his underwear? He can think and talk and walk. He wears nice clothes and is good natured. You wouldn’t really be afraid of him, would you?
Even without his clothes, he’s still that same nice guy he always was. Does the way he looks really matter so much? It isn’t right to judge people based on appearance alone. I believe this to be the truth; I believe I’m a lot like you.
