Been AGES that I drew Terrance, a Machoke with no trainer and best buds with Chips...
Well, why don't I bring him on more often? I guess its the fact that I really don't draw Machokes well... Or I do, but not the way I want them to look...!

You draw Machoke just fine. It looks fine to me. Plus, I like you gave the red markings on the body and legs, it looks cool.
Wow.. very few artists are alternating Machoke's appearance, such as adding muscle markings on their body. Makes me wish that Game Freak should update the oldest generations Pokémon to make it modernized.

I actually made that small detail just now to show some separation from the normal looking Machoke design! I actually wanted to give him a scarf that he sometimes wear under his neck or tied around one of his arms. But the markings will have to do!
I would agree with you on modernization of the first pokémon, but I would fear that they would make them more simplified, and not put the necessary effort to make them look better... But I could be wrong!

Ohh... Yeah, complex poses aren't my strong points either. Sometimes I gotta perform to pose myself to memorize so I can draw the pose what I did. It helps you to make draw some well poses.
On the modernization part. Yeah, not many people like complex changes, but it's important (maybe) to keep the designs fresh and new before it gets dull over time. Game Freak has gotten better with the creativity designs over the years and did it well mostly on the 5th Gen Pokemon and some on the 4th Gen. Some or several 1st Gen has just simple designs like Grimer, Voltorb, Magnemite, etc. and their evolutions are just bigger version of themselves. So it won't be bad if those Pokémon have their designs have more creativity and detail to make it less dull.

Well alot of my machines can feature adjustable tickle appendage tools, so there's plenty of variation. I'm glad you like my submission, I always find the best artist for my tickle commissions.
