Upon seeing this tutorial I had kind of a "wow... why didn't I do that?" moment. I combine some concepts from the tutorial, with the way I work layers/lighting and I ended up with this guy in about 15-30min.
I saved screencaps, that explain the difference between my technique and the original, I'll see about putting those together later.
