That would be a horrible sight to wake up to, unless you had some steak to distract him. I'd say that drool is quite accurate from my own pooch air biting at a treat just out of reach.

Speaking as a carnivorous mammal, I would suggest give such a beast a big hug. The predator will think you are sick or insane and will not want to eat you. Worked for that bunny I was trying to make soup of last week.
