Here is the final submission from the four sketch pages made by the amazing 
!
She completed them early this morning while I was sleeping. It was the best thing I saw when waking up! To be greeted with this beautiful page of sketches featuring both Jiao and Xiā made me so giddy with excitement to start my day off right!
This page marks the very first time that these two have been featured together. It will be one of many yet to come that will elaborate further on the relationship that these two friends share between each other. There's no story to add to these sketches. I mostly wanted Shali to pair them up doing simple things together such as sharing tea. I really love the bottom sketch where Xiā is playing her pipa for Jiao as she relaxes and listens to the music.
These show a little glimpse of their personal sides and the kinship that has grown between them. They are two very different people, but are so much alike in that they help complete one another. Jiao essentially represents the Yang aspect while Xiā represents the Yin. Together they both compliment and make each other whole. Though they may seem the same age, they're vastly different as far as how long each has existed over the centuries. As far as relative age when you look at them. They look to be roughly the same age. Xiā would appear to be in her early 20s while Jiao would be in her late 20s. Though, Xiā has existed much longer than Jiao.
Anyway! I'm super happy with these sketches and love how shalinka depicted them interacting with each other. Thank you Shali! You are so wonderful! <3
