NC was given to me when I first left home years back ^^ He was a abused and forgotten pet, very wild and aggressive by time I met him. For whatever reason, it only took a week and he was already pretty much velcro bird to me XD
Though I am still training him to be non aggressive to others (he's getting there, but she still lunges at most people when he is with me. Such is the curse of "one person" birds XD)

This always kinda makes me wonder how well 'domestication' works, and what's going on inside their heads. So many species of animals out there that enjoy the physical contact of petting, and like in this case enjoy hiding in bedsheets and pillows. Whereas out in the wild it'd be trees and leaves 'n shit. xD

I don't consider birds domesticated, "taming" them is based on a lot of mutual respect and trust and they tend to always keep their wild habits and behaviors (not a bad thing!) . Lorikeets are just silly by nature, ive observed wild ones crawling into the most funny of discarded man made objects XD
