My half of a trade with the very talented
, featuring her characters Wielder and Obi-Wan from her Star Wars fan-fic. Those of you who aren't already doing so GET OVER THERE AND WATCH HER NOW. Seriously. You won't regret it. She's an awesome artist and her writing is top-notch!
Here we see Wielder and Obi-Wan standing in a field surrounded by Memory Moths...I'm definately no Star Wars expert, so here's what the internet has to say about them:
"The memory moth was a type of moth native to New Holstice. When released, they held a single name that they whispered back. They were also considered immortal. Memory moths were then released into a giant cylinder where thousands more were held, each one commemorating every Jedi that ever died."
I was given a lot of creative license over the moths and it was fun watching Wielder squee over them as I was coloring them in my stream the other day. ^u^
Eventually, there will be an awesome story to go along with this, but Wielder is a busy girl workin on more pretty artz, so we'll havta wait patiently. ;)
Why are you still standing here? GO! Watch her naooowww! :D

I'm pretty sure I woke the dead when I saw this just a few minutes ago. It was a squeal of intense GLEE I SWEARZ!
First off, you draw the most gorgeous Obi-Wan hair ever. Seriously. It's GORGEOUS. I would LIVE IN IT! I would braid it into a little nest, and I would never leave it, and I would hissssss and snarl at everyone and everything that ever came NEAR it. And his expression is so beautiful...so soft and gentle. He's obviously happy to live in the present for a moment and to not worry too much about what MIGHT happen.
I love how you capture that gentle wildness in your female wolves. I don't know how to properly explain it, but they always look like, even when they are "relaxed", they could bound away at a second's notice. That really works so well with this...gives the piece a bit of tense energy even though it's a calm moment. Besides, it's that touch of wild that seems to draw Obi-Wan to Wielder in the first place. You did such a lovely job of capturing their relationship, and thank you so much for doing that.
Artwise, your handle on composition never fails to impress. You have an eye for design and placement, and that's such a rare talent to have. You did a really good job with putting a bit of blue into the shading on them to mute the colors slightly since the picture's setting is night. Your attention to detail is always top notch, and I will never understand how you manage to keep lineart so clean!
Thank you so much for this. Luthien! I hope mine will be half as good!
AND MOTHS ZOMG! I love the friggin' moths! *pets them*

I've never seen an anthro-version of an actual actor look so much like him. I identified this as Obi-wan (or rather, what's-his-face who played Delicious Young Obi-wan in the newer films) right off, even before reading the description!
Another lovely bit of work, this
