This is a truck me and my RL friend built. It started out as a 1985 EFI 22RE solid front axel Toyota 4 runner (4x4) and we lifted the old body and put on this 2wd cab on., kept the frame, built a flat deck for it, 34" superswamers, Aussie lockers front and back 5.25 gears (instead of the 4.10 stock ones) front and back, snorkel,(already had water 3/4 way up the front hood) push bumper... a bit of lift.. and soon to have a high-stear kit on it. I have replaced the transmission 2 times on it (one was frozen so that the input gear messed up and another had a fault gear in it but it was temp anyways.. umm... And its BLUE like a blue husky :P...

Didn't put a body lift on it, and the springs are exactly what I did....I will buy longfeilds once I break the little birfs.. I have a feeling the gears will break before the birfs, and if not, its good the axle breaks before the $600 gears and lockers... It Is a pain to set those gears up properly..
Might want to edit your description then, it says you did put a body lift on it. You shouldn't have too much problem with the gears, they're still moderately strong, it's above 5.38's that you really have to worry. Nice truck though. Is it carb'd or FI? What trans do you have in it?
oki so.,,shifter location in the rear... umm... think mine is a G (if I recall the shifter is closer to the front ((g)) I had both the G and W transmissions in the truck.... SO i can not recall what one i have in it curtly, lol.. (one froz up or something and got stuck inbetween both gears so that the input gear broke... and the other one I temporary installed, the.. reverse gear had a missing tooth and finally piled after i was driving in 3 ft of snow, lol and I took one out of a 1984 carb 4 runner. and put in my truck... so who knows, lol...I think I have the G transmission (shifter location in the front ((they look the same))
Hahaha, alrighty. If you can, find another W56 for it.
I know what that's like, I shattered reverse in my AX15 here two or three weeks ago out on a mud trip. That was interesting to say the least. So now it's sitting in pieces on my bench, awaiting a new reverse cluster and rebuild kit.

Trucks that you see lifted on 40"s and up are your trucks that see deep mud, mud drags, or just really deep play in the woods. When it comes to 4x4ing each has there own of wheeling, some hate lift others can't get high enough. Me I need 38"s plus when I get done because I like to play in 4-8 feet of mud and water lol and I have been stuck, sunk and more because of no lifts lol
