One of the other suggestions left for me. Went with the traditional wyvern from heraldry images and such. I mainly wanted to fiddle with some coil shape and contour on it, which i think turned out ok.

He does look a bit confrontational in truth... but heh - yeah - would be an amusing thing with the whole "Rar, I am a fierce monster that maybe will devour you after I have my morning coffee!"
The torso was fun to work with on this one. good practice.

basically how the heraldric descriptions looked it had two arms, wings and well a longer snake like trunk with a stinger at the end of it. Honestly, i like the look of this as opposed to the DnD variety, which, don't get me wrong, is cool and everything, i have not seen really much with this style of form for them.
i do have something with the unicorn as well, well it's in the works i should say ^^;
