This has been months in the making, but I finally finished her. @_@ Cloud Dancer is my personal pony, and yes, she's an alicorn. She was made from a G2 Sky Skimmer (included a pic of the original bait pony near the bottom of the image). Pony was de-haired and de-symboled, given a full body repaint, milliput used to sculpt a horn and wings (I learned a number of things about sculpting this time around), her ears modified, her eyes and face modified, and her hooves modified to make her look a bit more like the G4 line of ponies. The neck joint was raised and resculpted a bit to make her look a bit more like the princess ponies. The eyes and symbol were drawn in india ink and painted in metallic and regular acrylics, and sealed with mod podge. Her hair is a blend of Black Magic and Starlight from Dollyhair. I suck at styling. Included a pic of her with my stock Rainbow Dash to show the size comparison. I think it works rather well.
Cloud Dancer was largely a personal experiment to see if I could make an existing pony look the way *I* wanted her to look, without repainting a Celestia. I'm not entirely pleased with the results, and I learned a lot of things about my materials, and that I am definitely not the world's most fabulous sculptor by any stretch of imagination. I just could not get the stuff to smooth out quite the way I wanted it to.
I am not currently offering custom ponies as commissions. With the speed at which I work, and the amount of labor and materials involved for a build like this, the prices I would have to charge just to break even would have to be fairly exorbitant. c.c My Little Pony™ belongs to Hasbro, with the new designs credited to Lauren Faust.
