They all live on the same planet.. probably going to be made into a closed-species adoptable.
Commonly bred in captivity from lots of past hunting in order to obtain their 'sky crystals' that can be used in big airships. But they are very common in the wild and are found almost everywhere in the sky. Though slaughtered, their meat is for eating, their crystals are used to power flight controls and their bones are hollow but extremely sturdy thus are used for main structures of air ships to keep them light and able to fly. Their metal helmets are usually used for sheilds in many different ways and the 'fangs' are used as weapons.
Babies are not born with the metal helmet, it grows out of their face within their first year and continues to grow as they age.
The entire species (along with other sky-based creatures) use echolocation.
