my area's not to huge on this thing known as "jaywalking". We simply give way to who deserves it first. Pedestrian walks across street first? Car stop, car first? pedestrian stops. keeps thing fair, not to mention it's infested with common courtesy. Crossing but stuck in the middle of street as you cross? cars stop and let you finish. :x

Google jaywalking and I am not impressed......probably explains why Big Cities like Chicago are the way they are.
