Yes It's a new snare drum....A RARE one in fact....It's a 14x5.5 Yamaha Sonny Emory Signature Snare drum.
It's the 853rd Replica out of 1000.
It goes for $600 new but I got it used for $250 just staying up late one night window shopping on google and seeing this drum....
Owning this drum is a dream come true for me like I would ALWAYS see this drum in the Yamaha Drum catalogs I would collect as a little kid and hearing it on live Earth Wind and Fire records from the late 90's.
ALSO
I played a gig tonight with it....Didn't tune it at all and it sounded AMAZING now I'm gonna get some new heads for it and tune it to how I want it.

Nice. I've used a Manu Katche signature during one my recording sessions at Fort Apache in Cambridge, MA. Yamaha make some pretty out standing stuff. My nephew just got himself a six piece set of Yamaha Oak Customs, w/ silver sparkles finish, for $1500. Sounds killer and a great price for that kit.
Manu Katché is the man! Killer snare too.
I think the next kit I'm gonna go for is a 4 pice Club custom....My Stage customs came with a 8" tom and I never carry all 6 drums too a gig...I'm too lazy lololol.
A friend of mine bought the 14x7 Oak custom snare the same time I bought my Yamaha musashi oak snare very very loud drums.
