If your goldfish are aggressive they may be in their breeding season, in which case the male will 'beat up' the female to stimulate her to drop her eggs. You can put more female gold fish in the tank, or you can remove all sharp objects from the tank.
You can also give them distractions, like a lettuce leaf, or half and orange, fresh veggies help them be more mellow too ^.^ I give mine lettuce all the time, you can give them thin cucumber slices too. Just make sure that you take the un-eaten portions out at the end of the day to avoid tank cloud (muddy water)
