haha, but really: I think the verse was sung too calmly. Be more aggressive >:D adding more ... dunno how you'd say it, "attitude" to the vocals in the verse would blend much more nicely with the music. And since you stay on one note for most of the time in this part, doing so might give the entire thing the drive that it needs :3

Btw, the last chorus was almost perfect!

Just find the right mood for the music, then try it ^^. I can hear that you're using great control of your voice...and part of getting the feeling of this style right is to not try to control it as much, and don't be afraid to let it get loud .

Thank you. I think my main problem is I have to focus so hard to get that "rougher" sound to my voice. Aside from the prettier stuff toward the end of the song, it's really a lot of concentration and trying super hard! I'll keep practicing that until it's second nature and then see what comes out :) Thanks!

Don't worry too much. Part of it is finding a place where it comes natural. Maybe next time you feel angry, sing it to cool off, and don't be afraid to let it seep into the words a little.

I know I might not be the greatest singer, but I definitely understand anger in singing xP.

Sounded really cool but the thing that stuck out to me was that the vocals were a little too loud and the instrumental was drowned out, which isnt a /bad/ thing cause you have a beautiful voice, but the instrumental in the background really needs to be heard a bit.

also i think your voice needs to have a bit of reverb added to the whole file. what happens is that it makes it sound like your voice is deeper in the picture of the music(if that makes sense), at the moment your voice is in the front, when you add reverb it sounds like it is in the center of the picture, and the slight echo sounds better with any voice. it helps it blend better.

another thing you can do 1:39 part with the vocals is to split each part into half and pan it in a specific place so that it sounds like its a more filled part (since it sounds like it would really would be like a good amount of people singing it. the panning of the parts will make it sound like there is a bit of variation as well.

but the main thing is that the backing music needs to be dramaticly louder.

all in all, still sounds very good!
