Well, I am now not only out, but I am internationally out! My writer friend Zan and I were recently included in the OUT100 issue of Out Magazine, and I finally got my copies of it yesterday! All the photos (taken by photographer Gavin bond) in the issue are based on classic celebrity photos. For our photo they decided to have us recreate a Laurel & Hardy publicity shot. This was the on-line post, except that I've included the original photo that inspired the image in the corner. I am, of course, the short, chubby one (although, ironically, Hardy was the taller of the two. But I'm the chubby one, so there you are.)

It took me several years to get used to the idea. I tried to be straight for a long time and there was a lot of psychological bullshit I had to overcome just in my own mind. I grew up in Texas after all...with my religious grandparents much of that time. But maybe even those misconceptions were my own. I'll never know as far as they're concerned.

Awesome pic and congrats on being out. I sure wish I had made a bigger effort to get to know you better at Califur way back when...you are such a great looking Bear and so talented. I still love the pic you did of my fursona very much and get lots of positive comments about it. Hope to run into you at another con one day! By the way, does your friend in the photo have a glass of water in his pocket? And an ice cube in his coat?
