Welp, this big guy is the biggest model I've printed out. Took just over 3 1/2 hours to print out. I'll put more pics of him in different angles in scraps and link them here.
But yah, I"m proud of this big guy.

Well, it 'is' already here, but I don't have such a machine because mine is home made. Though I'm tweaking it to get better detail. Unfortunately I can't print stuff out in full color... yet.
And yah, this took a good three/four hours to print fully.
It also helps if the 3D model was really, really, really detailed.

It costs 15 grand and it prints out in delicate fairy dust. :p
Not really, you can make one for between $500 to $1000, mine costed around $800. The plastic is a thermoplastic called ABS, same stuff Legos are made of. There are also a few kits you can buy for around $1000-$1200 that have varying qualities.
