And we skip forward an hour or so, so I dont have to draw out the boring task of ... well.... setting up camp. The conversation wouldnt have been interesting either.
This also gives me a chance for a darker setting to work on things like lighting effects, which I hope I pulled off well. I didnt want to use too much blending as I wanted to keep with the same coloring theme.
And yes, shape shifting is quick and usually accompanied by smoke, just like in the game.

Hmm, very interesting lighting, the only think i would comment on, is perhaps trying to blend it in with the color of the fur/skin/etc. I don't know how this would look but might make it more photorealistic. could also try using a brush opacity, like maybe a yellow color at 20-40% opacity/transparency. However the areas you hit look like all the places where the light would be hitting their faces. ;D
However I actually like how the lighting is done here because it is uniform with the coloring of their characters. nothing is overboard detail wise.
I would like to see a single piece one day testing out lighting tho, :D

I did not mess with the brush opacity on the lighting as I wanted to keep with the same coloring theme. Too many different types of coloring within one picture often look wonky and out of place. However with this, I turned the layer itself to a lower opacity, moving it to where it looked best.
