awesome!! glad i could provide a vigorous ego stroking. aside from life drawing, i'd suggest doing some studies from artists like J.P. Waterhouse or Thomas Eakins or Tiepolo or... Joaquin Sorolla. their paintings have nice figures & compositions (i.e. good stuff to fuck with). nature studies are great too. i just bought the coolest book on cacti.
anywho, thanks for the props man!!! : )

Heyy thanks for the info! I'm really kind of an art education/history noob. So I'd like to take more classes probably. :x
And nature studies are good too!
OH and on a side note, I bought this old book called Gregg Shorthand for 25 cents at a garage sale recently and I've been obsessed with learning shorthand. IT'S LIKE SCRIBBLES THAT ARE LANGUAGE!!

sure thing!!
i've only ever taken a pre-columbian art history class at my junior college. covered the basics from Olmec to Inca (everything was awesome & captivating, but the Maya portion was by far the coolest).
& yes, shorthand is fuckin crazy. i should look into it further, f'sho :)
