Yeah she's a beauty. She was built in the 60's and saw active service, in the mid 80's she was transferred to the national guard and was completely rebuilt. We got her in 2000 and had a custom fire body built, the custom body was an unintended consequence of one of our neighboring dept's rolling a tanker on to her side. After that the town decided that we couldn't build our own forestry units any more.

What do you mean old??? Those trucks are both from 89-90..... Ford produced that cab from the 1950's right to about 1991, until it was officially killed by the US government (thanks EPA emission standards). Once the EPA emission standards officially killed the 3208 CAT for road use, the Ford cab-over was no more due to a lack of adequate power plants.

*waggwagg* Yeah leave it to them to kill fantastic power plants.. The same thing happened to all the cool 2 stroke diesels.... They force companies to replace the time tested engines with ones with less emissions but consume more fuel and have higher operating costs. It is madness and a real shame. Very col trucks though, when I come visit you some day, you need to take me on a tour! *hugs*

the engen that u see in my pics and the ambience the got them the same day i got in. i love are old brush truck i got to ride back bord today old school fire still to two runs less the 1/4 up the road it wus a real treat. to experience that and the people got a taste of how things wus dun. back in the day ween times wear different.
