Squirrels are playful sorts. Kitsunes are tricktsers. Kitsuna happens to be both, and tried to pull a soggifying prank on Kurshyn, who had previously fwoomped her out with a bit of teasing waterflation. It DID work...but given Kur's recent experiences with Braid, shi's picked up on a trick or two, and managed to slip right back out of the prank, dodge past it, and arrive triumphant before the bloated water balloon of a squirrel, tossing back the gloating a rather confused Kitsuna's would have been dishing out.
Time manipulation's a bitch, but it can also be a funny one in the right situation.
