I am quite familiar with Russian/Ukrainian people, as Cleveland has them up the wazoo. You both nailed their brusque demeanor and, sometimes, unapologetically condescending tone right on the head. Russians are 'mean' even when they aren't trying They are a no-nonsense people. For the record, I work in customer service, and deal with them on a regular basis. I bear no ill feelings towards them, but damn if it doesn't take patience to get used to the cultural differences (tone, personal space, etc).
I really like both seamstress characters. I hope Svetlana sticks around longer than Thiz, though!
