My Grandfather found this stick on the beach and painted it this way sometime in the late '50s. He placed marbles in some depressions for eyes. The lower image is the thing in his studio in the '80s, after he attached it to a support so it could be hung. It's now in my kitchen. I should have dusted it off before taking the pic I suppose.
